Biography:
Thor Odinson, as portrayed in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, is a central character first appearing in the 2011 film *Thor*.
He is the Asgardian God of Thunder, son of Odin, and former heir to the throne of Asgard. Initially arrogant and impulsive, Thor is banished to Earth by Odin to learn humility.
In *Thor: Ragnarok*, Thor undergoes significant development. He is captured by Hela, the Goddess of Death and his older sister, and forced to fight in the Contest of Champions on Sakaar.
